Susan Medina is a Partner in Amrop Battalia Winston’s (ABW’s) Chicago office. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the Diversity and Inclusion space to her role. Her work spans across all industries and functional groups and is focused on creating inclusive recruiting and retention solutions for clients.
Before joining ABW, Susan served as Executive Vice President at a leading executive search firm. She was also the Global Diversity Practice Group Leader and a member of the Board & CEO Practice. In addition to her search work, Susan co-authored the following two thought leadership pieces: “Latinos in America” and “Retention Strategies At The Top”.
Susan is the co-founder of LatinoExecs, Inc., an organization focused on connecting clients with Latino executives within the Fortune 1000. Before LatinoExecs, Inc., Susan co-led the Life Sciences and Consumer Practice Groups at a Chicago-based executive search firm. Earlier in her career, she served in various HR/Talent Acquisition roles with a F500 organization focused on technology.
Susan serves on the Board of Trustees for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, which provides quality Catholic college preparatory education to underserved youth through a unique work-study program that has inspired replication across the country. She is also an active member of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility (HACR), and National Council of La Raza and is frequently called upon to speak by associations such as the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility.
A native Chicagoan, Susan earned her B.A. in Business from DePaul University. She is fluent in Spanish.
