Partner & Diversity Practice Leader
Susan Medina is a Partner in Battalia Winston’s Chicago office. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the Diversity and Inclusion space to her role. Susan’s executive search philosophy centers on her firm belief that diverse teams make for stronger businesses.
Her work spans across all industries and functional groups and is focused on creating inclusive recruiting and retention solutions for clients. In addition to her search work, Susan has authored several thought leadership pieces including: “Why You Should do More Than Just Talk about Workplace Diversity” featured in Fast Company Magazine and “Make your Company a Magnet for Diversity” featured in Forefront Magazine.
Before joining BW, Susan served as Executive Vice President at a leading executive search firm. She was also the Global Diversity Practice Group Leader and a member of the Board & CEO Practice. Susan is the co-founder of LatinoExecs, Inc., an organization focused on connecting clients with Latino executives within the Fortune 1000.
Susan serves on the Board of Trustees for Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, which provides education to underserved youth through a unique work-study program. She is also an active member of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility (HACR), and National Council of La Raza and is frequently called upon to speak by associations such as the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility.
A native Chicagoan, Susan earned her B.A. in Business from DePaul University. She is fluent in Spanish.
