Richard joined Amrop Battalia Winston in January of 1997 as a Partner in the firm’s Industrial Practice. Prior to joining Amrop BWI, Rich’s 20+ years in executive search included three years as a Principal in a growing Chicago search practice, Vice President with A.T. Kearney International and 10 years as the National Financial Services Industry Practice Leader in the Executive Search Practice of “Big 6″ Public Accounting/Tax/Consulting Firm, Coopers & Lybrand (C&L).
Rich’s primary focus has been conducting senior level general management and executive management positions in nearly all functional disciplines for a broad range of industries to include: Consumer Packaged Goods, Automotive, Professional Services, Utilities, Office Furniture and Heavy Manufacturing, specializing the past several years in the food processing, automotive, and equipment manufacturing industries. He has frequently been interviewed and quoted in the national news media and publications such at Business Week and the Los Angeles Times.
A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Rich majored in History and Political Science at High Point University in North Carolina and later earned his MBA, with honors, from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
Rich is active in several professional organizations including the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and as a presenter/seminar leader to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Rich is also involved with his community and church, where he has served in lay leadership roles.
