Richard W. Folts joined Amrop Battalia Winston (ABW)  in January of 1997 as a Partner in the firm’s Midwest Practice.

Prior to joining ABW, Rich’s 20+ years in executive search included three years as a Principal in a growing Chicago search practice, Vice President with A.T. Kearney International and 10 years as the National Financial Services Industry Practice Leader in the Executive Search Practice of “Big 6” Public Accounting/Tax/Consulting Firm, Coopers & Lybrand (C&L).

Rich’s executive search expertise includes diverse assignments for a wide variety of consumer and industrial clients, specializing the past several years in the food processing, automotive, consulting and packaging industries.

Before pursuing his career in executive search, Rich held human resource and sales management responsibilities with Digital Equipment Corporation and American Greetings.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Rich majored in History and Political Science at High Point University in North Carolina and later earned his MBA, with honors, from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Rich is active in several professional organizations including The Association of Executive Search Consultants (A.E.S.C.) and as a presenter/seminar leader to The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Rich is also involved with his community and church, where he has served in lay leadership roles. He is an avid tennis player and fly fisherman. Rich, his wife Chris, and their two daughters reside in suburban Chicago.
